Fabio Ferracane Camaleonte 2023
 
Changing its appearance annually, Fabio's 'cameleon' cuvée serves as a mark of the vintage, blending as it does a little bit of everything to be found in the cellar on any given year. Direct-pressed Grillo and macerated Catarratto finds its way into the mix, deepened with red grapes Nero d'Avola and Merlot. 
 
This playful, insouciant wine feels like a mouthful of salty red cherries. This year the smoky red fruits feel more present in the finished profile, bringing a charred Nero d'Avola element to the fore. Once assembled, the wine is aged for 6 months in steel before bottling with no additions.
